Who We Are
Dave Correa Racing was founded in 2005 , ten years after Dave
Correa's untimely death..
A decade later we are keeping the dream alive.
Racing since 1985, Greg Swiston had been a truck person to the
core. The last few years were done as a team effort with his best
friend Dave Correa. Dave had a class 2-1600 buggy and Greg a
class 3 truck. Together they worked on perfecting their friendship and
having a good time racing. Daves life was cut short in 1995 when he
passed away from heart valve failure. Greg ran his truck one more
season and then retired from racing with out his team mate.
Now a decade later Greg has resurrected his friends car and
assembled a team to honor his friends memory. Dave Correa
Racing "The Dream Lives On" has proven its self as one of the most
viable mediums in the off-road racing fan market.
From it's inception we have strived to make every appearance of the
car as it had just been assembled, and have had comments from
racers and fans alike exemplifying our dedication to professionalism.
Greg Swiston, Founder, President and manager of Greg's My
Mechanic Inc., in Aurora Illinois, is a world class A.S.E. Master
Technician being one of just nine technicians in the world certified in
all test areas. Greg brings this level of professionalism to all aspects
of the team and will strive to give your company the same level of
professionalism at every event.
Dave Correa Racing is the most ASE certified team ever assembled
in the history of off-road racing. Our affiliation with Custom Cruise off
road racing, Greg's My Mechanic Inc. and Autoshop Techniques
gives us the technical edge in the highly competitive off-road racing
field.
